Psychotherapist
I specialize in helping those who feel they have spent time in environments where their thoughts, feelings, sense of self, or intellectual growth have been challenged or invalidated. If you are struggling to adapt to new life changes or to maintain close relationships with others as a result of your environment, then I am here to help explore that with you.
I believe that every individual is both unique and entitled to feel a strong sense of self and purpose. It can feel overwhelming or even impossible to find purpose when those closest to you are dismissive or judgmental of your own values.
My treatment style is centered around CBT and incorporates trauma-informed therapy, solutions-focused therapy, and insight-oriented therapy. I am committed to providing a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we’ll work to unpack your experiences, develop skills to change negative thought patterns and behaviors, and build your confidence to embrace your values in a way that feels authentic to you. You’re not alone, and I look forward to getting to know you!

Do you feel like people don’t take your problems seriously just because you’re young? They talk down to you or believe you don’t have it “as hard” as they do?
I believe that all young people deserve respect and can absolutely go through hard times. Being a teenager or young adult can be really hard and sometimes overwhelming. I will provide you the nonjudgmental listening and support that you have been looking for. We can explore why you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, sad, etc. Then we will work together to come up with ways to cope with and manage these feelings.
My treatment style is motivational, solution-focused, and restorative. I will never solve your problems for you or tell you what to do, but I will empower you to build the skills to face anything. We can work together on any issues, but some examples of my treatment experience include suicidal thoughts, self-harm, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, and/or explosive anger.

Hello, I'm Katherine Stillerman-Rose, and I’m dedicated to guiding individuals and couples through the challenges of life. Life can be incredibly hard, and I'm here to support you on your journey of introspection and healing. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, and the unwavering belief in your inherent capacity for growth and transformation.
I specialize in helping clients navigate, become curious about, and understand the complexities of their emotional lives, offering a safe and judgment-free space to process and make sense of their pain and struggles. We'll explore the lasting effects of childhood dynamics, trauma, and the harsh realities of life that often leave us feeling trapped in repetitive patterns, hindering our personal growth and well-being. By gaining insight and understanding, we can break free from the cycles that are within our control, develop new ways of relating to ourselves and others, and cultivate a healthier and more fulfilling life.
In our collaborative therapeutic partnership, your voice takes precedence, and your goals become the focal point of our treatment. Together, we will work towards nurturing insight, self-compassion, and the essential tools needed for lasting personal change.
My therapeutic toolbox encompasses various modalities, ensuring that we utilize the most effective methods and strategies tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
In addition to individual therapy, I have a deep passion for couples therapy. My specialization lies in helping couples learn how to navigate conflicts effectively and how to "rupture and repair" to strengthen their bond. My approach is founded on the belief that our early experiences significantly shape our adult relationships. Unresolved childhood dynamics can play out in our partnerships, leading to patterns that hinder growth and intimacy. I'm here to help you identify and heal these patterns, fostering a healthier, more fulfilling connection with your partner.
I understand that embarking on this journey requires immense courage and effort, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life's challenges.

I believe that the key to success in therapy is creating a safe and supportive environment, and taking a non judgemental approach to the work that I do. My style is collaborative and eclectic - meaning that each individual’s treatment is tailored to who they are and what their goals reflect. I view the therapist and participant relationship as a partnership, meaning that my role is not to tell you what to do, but rather support you in identifying what you feel is best. Although I like to create a relaxed environment, I do offer a more structured approach as well.
I work with individuals and families that want to focus on goals related to their interpersonal relationships, stress, and coping with forms of family trauma. Some specialities include parenting support, dating/romantic relationships, family therapy, and work related stress. I meet with folks of all ages in individual, group, and family therapy settings. I use techniques that are based off of CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. I also enjoy exploring creative interventions using art or music.
Education, Certifications & Training:
Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work
Seminar in Field Instruction Certification (Hunter College)
Adjunct Professor (Kennesaw State University)
Trained in Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Intervention, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Coalition of Behavioral Health)

Whether curious about therapy for the first time or with past therapy experiences, we are all seeking self-actualization, authentic purpose, and healthy relationships. As your therapist, I am deeply committed to accompanying you through this journey.
I see therapy as a collaborative effort to work towards self-acceptance, and an opportunity to develop understanding of how negative thought patterns and behaviors may be showing up in your life or relationships. By building insight and awareness in creating healthy boundaries, and focusing on your existing strengths and unique abilities you can begin to integrate what solutions will work for you and manage your behaviors and emotions in the way you want.
I am here to listen to you, to offer a safe space and to share that recovery is possible. In therapy, you can create positive motivations and coping skills that benefit your confidence and sense of well-being.
